GDPR Compliance

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) is a regulation by which the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission intend to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU).If you process data about individuals then you must be GDPR compliant by 25/05/2018 or risk huge fines. There are a number of changes that systems could require even if they previously conformed to the DPA 1998. We can audit your current systems and provide a number of services to help you achieve compliance including, but not limited to, the ones listed below.

Consulation and Training

We can provide consulation, training and ongoing support relating to GDPR compliance. Once you have achieved compliance it will be just as important to make sure that you remain compliant by monitoring your data and users, keeping software and hardware current in relation to security and, should you need to, appointing a DPO (data protection officer). We can provide all of these services including acting as your DPO with scheduled visits for customers in and around South Yorkshire.

Penetration testing

Penetration Testing

Penetration testing (also known as pen testing) is a simulated attack on a computer system, network or web application to find vulnerabilities that a real attacker could expliot. After your system is tested a detailed report is issued pointing out any vulnerabilities found and measures that should be taken to fix them in order to prevent a real attacker accessing your data.

Database redesign

With the introduction of GDPR comes a new set of challenges such as storing personal data in an encrypted format and giving users the right to be forgotten. We can assist in, or complete for you a redesign of your existing database to meet these criteria. We will also produce the necessary code for you to access the encrypted data and perform tasks that will be required to be GDPR compliant.
